Commissioned Works & Erika Ramirez

Erika Ramirez was the director of Whitfield Gallery in the three different locations that Whitfield was located before the gallery moved to its location now on Aparicio Street in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico.

Erika also helped curate the 2008 exhibition  that Michael French had in the Forbes Museum on Fifth Avenue in New York and has helped in sales in numerous exhibitions that Michael has had in the Kinsman Robinson Galleries in Toronto.. She is a dynamic consultant who now specializes in working with people who would like special commissions done of Michael’s work.

Art starts with the conception of the work in the artist mind to the process of creating it, using different tools like those used by masters like Vermeer in the 1600s to our modern masters such as Ralph Goings, Don Eddy and Andy Warhol who have used the media available to the artist at their time whether is photography, cameras or nowadays the use of technology to the finished work of art presented to the art connoisseur or the art admirer.

“You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.”
George Bernard Shaw. Playwright, critic, polemicist and political activist .
